Senior high WIRC is a group that prepares annually for the Westmoreland Interscholastic Reading Competition hosted by Greensburg-Salem at Seton Hill University.  They are required to read from a book list of approximately 30-40 titles and at the competition held in early March, they answer quiz league style questions about the books to compete for points and the overall WIRC championship. The club typically meets once a week during the activity period with some brief after school meetings as the competition draws closer.
